Dear Grammar police

I have said from the start of this blog that I am not here for anyone to critique my use of punctuation. To be honest I don't write this blog for anyone but myself. I don't claim to be a perfect speller, or perfect with punctuation. I have never been great with commas or anything else pertaining to punctuation. I do however enjoy writing, and my blog is a necessary relief for my emotions regarding a tragic situation. If you don't like the way I write or where I place a comma.........don't come back. Did I make myself clear enough for you? Good!

So the next time you decide to leave a hateful message under someones blog, don't do it here. I have repeated over and over from the start that I have poor use of punctuation, so that leads me to believe you are new.

Also keep in mind that I am usually doing three things at once when I write my blog. I get offers on a consistent basis to have people advertise on my blog, or to have me do a review of their products. My blog is a diary to me, and not here for advertising. I know many people make their livings with their blogs, which is fine, but that's not my goal.

someone commented on you grammar? that's absurd.

in my opinion, blogs are a whole different genre of writing. there shouldn't be any rules. it's your own personal space in the blogosphere...your place to journal and type out your thoughts. your place. the grammar police have way too much time on their hands if they're concerned with how you write.

blah.

I admit that I am nit-picky about spelling and grammar, but Jocalyn is right. Besides that, I know the difference between being a friendly person trying to be helpful in pointing out a correction vs...someone being a full-on JERK. I wonder if the person who commented really even knows what your blog is all about. I doubt it.

Dang...some people have nerve.

who in the world would read someone's deep personal thoughts and lambast them for grammar! Geez! That would make me very angry as well. Blogs are just a continuation of what comes out of ones brain....words typed out on pages. God knows my blog is a grammatic mess and I am an English major. You should tell this "person" that he, and the jerk of a radio dj, should move in together and the dj can write a thesis paper on his thoughts on children on airplanes and this "person" can correct HIS grammar! :)

Well I hope they don't read mine. My fingers sometimes are going a mile a minute trying to keep up with my brain and honestly my spelling is horrible and I never remember to use spell check. The whole reason we blog is to express our thought and feelings but at the same time to let others know they are not alone in their journey. IF they are that nit picky just tell them to bugger off and take a look at mine. Ha Ha

I love your blog, and I read it every day. Thanks for what you do. You have helped me feel so much less isolated as a mom to a special needs child. Some people tend to forget, nobody is perfect.

Jenny I think you handled that beautifully and the nerve of someone new to your blog to criticize your raw, honest release of your trials, ups, downs and all that you and your family go through on a day to day basis! You are rarely, if ever, negative, always giving the benefit of the doubt and having a positive perspective no matter what the circumstances. So screw that person and their high horse they rode in on. I'm glad you told em like it is and don't let anyone bring you down. You do a lot of good with your blog and Emily does a lot of good with her charity and influence on children throughout the DFW and the world! Love and hugs galore!!!! xoxox
