Raising a special needs kid is a lot of work and stress and I just added to the load. Candace's ideas sound wonderful, though, and maybe I'll make next year more of a deal. Frankly, though, I preferred the small party.Katyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02189007616883663434noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8581317431133132518.post-78370412587497618392009-08-05T17:46:52.326-05:002009-08-05T17:46:52.326-05:00That explains why you said you had a trunk full of...That explains why you said you had a trunk full of Beanie Babies in your trunk when you got back from lunch...LOL! I didn't quite understand that but figured it might just be better not to ask. hahahahaJenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14666893723435035226noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8581317431133132518.post-77319675301002331472009-08-05T16:16:48.578-05:002009-08-05T16:16:48.578-05:00Jenn,

Didn't even agree to a party until about 2 weeks before, after much begging from hubby. We usually try to incorporate things that will touch people that mean something to Faith. Like last bday, we did a Dora cake but had her signing I love you w/ her hand. Then we put up ASL charts on walls and gave stickers to everyone w/ the sign for I Love You and then taught everyone there how to do it and other basic signs. Maybe you could teach everyone some things that Jude enjoys. We also stand up every year and tell everyone about Faith's yr and all that she has overcome to get there. Then we ask a blessing on her next year and for our time with her. It kind of puts an impression on people when they see parents "cry" in public! I am sure you will pull something together and it will be great!Candacehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04201448627487443779noreply@blogger.com
